Our son loves this book so much. It is very high on his list of books to read before bed during family story time. I secretly think it is because only a few pages in he gets to read the words “I will find the Lost Treasure of Frogsbottom’. Any excuse to say the word bottom!
Russell is an unlikely hero. You always feel that he will succeed in his attempts to unearth the secret treasure…but maybe he won’t? He is that kind of sheep….
The illustrations go a long way towards making this story such a success in our household. They are vibrant attract the attention of even our youngest listener as soon as it is presented to be read. They capture your imagination and make it a real page turner so that if nothing else…you get to see another work of art.
If you like this story we would highly recommend you pick up the original Russell book, ‘Russell The Sheep’.
