If you like your books to rhyme. If you like your books to have breath taking illustrations that you will find it hard to turn away from. If you like an Australian feel to your story time….then go no further. This book is so wonderful that we have even given it as gifts to adults!
‘Olga the brolga was in a terrible mood. She was whiny and pushy and downright rude.’….what a fantastic way to start a story book. Olga is faced with a dilemma that all of us face from time to time. How to get our friends and family to join us in something that we REALLY want to do…but that they don’t really feel like doing themselves. Will she bend them to her will? You will have to read it and see!
Rod Clement is both the author and the illustrator of this fantastically ‘complete’ children’s book. I say complete because it has everything. It has drama, it has rhyme, it has glamour and bling…it has the most amazing illustrations you will ever see anywhere. It brings Australian wildlife to….well… life! Our children request this book over and over again and I never get tired of turning its pages.
If you fall in love with this book then go and grab a copy of some other Rod Clement page turners. ‘Edward the Emu’ and ‘Edwina the Emu’ are also big favourites around these parts.
