This is known in our house as ‘the kissy book’!
Another beautiful collaboration between the talented Mem Fox and the amazing Kerry Argent. Once again Kerry brings to our story time the familiarity of her wonderful crockery patterns and her fantastic quilt creations.
This book shows the love of a mother for each and every one of her children. It portrays a mother who takes the time for each child’s special rhyme before seeing them off into sleep. A family is a special thing and this little (or not so little!) family demonstrates that beautifully.
Oh….and why is it the kissy book? Because before each rhyme is read mumma bear kisses her children’s sleepy heads in turn….our children get a kiss for each kiss mumma bear gives her children. A great way to snuggle your children!
If you like this book we recommend you pick up a copy of ‘Wombat Divine’ another delightful joint work between these two amazing story tellers.
