little cotton love

This is my morning cup of tea. Do you like the cup?

I do….I love it!

It’s the best kind of cup. Not only because it’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar….but because it was a gift of kindness from a friend that I’m yet to meet face to face. It comes from Julie from Little Cotton Rabbits.

The cup came in a package of happiness that also held this little lass.

Isn’t she delightful? She’s a sister for Winsome.

We’re all so very happy that she’s come to join our little cotton family.

How beautiful is that tail poking out from behind her frock?!

Two snuggly little hedgehoggers also made the long journey. I could only photograph one though….The Little Bush Princess was having a little sleep when I took these photographs….clutching her little hog!

There was so much loveliness in this package, kind words in a LCR card, chocolates that didn’t make it to be photographed either! Things that brightened my day and that have gone on to make me smile every time I’ve looked at them since.

I know that a lot of people who will come here are already Little Cotton Rabbit fans. All I can say is that I’m so very fortunate and happy to be a Little Cotton friend as well.

Thank you Julie!

  1. You are SO lucky! I had tried forever to get a little Woolen Rabbit but finally gave up. They are so darn cute! I bet your little ones will love them up! :)

  2. Isnt Julie the most talented toy maker for knitted toys! You are so lucky to have such a special friend to send you such gorgeous things and I love what you sent her too. I just loved the bilby you sent to her so I went and bought one in your store. I cant wait for it to arrive. Your puppies are very cute too and your dolls. Your another talented person whose blog I shall now remember!

  3. Green. With. Envy. I totally look like Shrek. LOL!
That fox is so cute. Lucky you. In fact, that fox reminds me of the fox in the book My Lucky Day by Keiko Kasza. I highly recommend this story if you haven’t read it before. The Little Bush Princess would LOVE it. It was a favorite of ours.

    Lovin’ all you treasure~
    Cassie

  4. What a lovely package to arrive in the post! I saw the lovely Bilby that she received in return, I am envious of both packages! Perhaps next year once I am on maternity leave I can get myself a bilby girl! I actually looked them up on google and the real creatures are pretty darn cute!

  5. Hi Jen, just popped over from Julie’s swap post to check out the family that Beryl the Bilby left behind. A gorgeous package you put together to send to England so you rightly deserve gorgeous gifts in return. Enjoy your new animal family. Nic x

  6. I’m so glad that you enjoyed the package contents Jen – it’s always a great pleasure swapping with you (PS, I posted this just now but failed the maths challenge!! – shouldn’t be posting after 2 glasses of wine!!) J xx
