One for The Little Bush Princess.
One for Tullulah!
Her name is May and she’s such a pretty little thing.
A trip out to the property on Thursday brought with it a suprise that I for one was not expecting. I might not have been expecting it but it turns out that at least one of our goaties was expecting!
This lovely mother had her first baby waiting for us when we rolled up.
She’s a good mother although she does seem a little overwhelmed and confused at times. Don’t we all?
I say that we didn’t know we had the patter of baby hooves in our future….although we did have our suspicions.
This lady should have her baby….(or babies by the swagger and sway back she has) in the next couple of days. We suspect that one of our other goat girls might be in the motherly way as well.
Life seems to be getting a bit more interesting out on the farm.
I can’t begin to tell you how excited the children are.
On a non-farm note. Thank you to everyone who congratulated me on my painting sale. It was exciting and bewildering at the same time. It was followed by my first attempt at teaching the gentle and noble art of stitching to a class of eager and willing learners. I need to back that lesson up with another next Monday.
I’m so out of my depth.
Fingers crossed for me that the second class is better than the first. I think that my students are teaching me far more than I’m teaching them. I will continue to bribe them with baked treats to try and buy their confidence. Shallow I know but a viable teaching aid in the hand of an experienced mother. Just ask my children.
Poor students!!!
Have a great weekend. If you’re looking for us….we’ll be out with the goats!
I’ve had a little bit of a suprise today.
It’s left me feeling….well a shocked and a little bit wobbly.
My very first steps into exhibiting my painting has seen my first picture sold before it was even hung!
I was giggly like a school girl when I first heard, not to mention a little bit uncertain if I was being told the truth!
My little geese that I called ‘where shall I wander?’ have wandered off to someone else’s home to hang on the wall of two little boys bedroom.
I can’t believe it!
Makes me wish I had more to go and pop into the exhibition…
(Sorry about the quality of the picture. It was a scan. I was going back this coming weekend to take a photograph of it hanging to blog with. Guess that’s not going to happen now! hee hee!)
