i think they call it ‘media’ if you have a fancy doo dad website…

I find it hard to think why I haven’t shared this before now.

I put it down to the fact that I get caught up in ‘other stuff’ and I forget about ‘other stuff’ and then the stuff I should have been thinking about becomes old news and I sort of leave it behind me.

Not sure why I do that…but there you go! My far off in England friend Janie will testify to the fact that I get around to everything….eventually!

A little while back one of my little dolls went out into the world and was published in the online mag Small Magazine.

That’s pretty exciting isn’t it?

charlie and lola library bag ponderings

Posted by Jenny on Jan 20 2010 | Sewing

With The Little Bush Princess starting big school at the start of next month I’ve been busy getting together all that she will need to take this new big step.

On the list of things we need is a library bag. Without one there’s no borrowing from the library and that would be a tragedy for a book mad little lass!

I’ve given the library bag a lot of thought and I think I might adapt the technique I used to create the Charlie and Lola dolls to decorate the library bag.

Watch this space. I’ll keep pondering!

hidden treasure

Posted by Jenny on Jan 19 2010 | Day to dayness

Just after Christmas Scott bought us a trailer. We’ve needed one for years now and have made do borrowing and hiring them. In the end we bit the bullet and did what we should have done years ago and bought a shiny blue work horse.
The upside being that during the holidays Scott has been able to do a lot of pruning the the yard. It’s been very hard to do large scale gardening work like that when we had no way of getting the off cuts to the tip.

This little abandoned Sparrows nest was unearthed during such gardening.

I don’t have to tell you how excited The Little Bush Princess was to find this little beauty!

i heart jam drops

Posted by Jenny on Jan 16 2010 | Cooking and baking

Not too long ago I had a hankering for some Jam Drops. It must have been only a mild hankering because I wasn’t driven to Google ‘jam drops’ and get a recipe.

However, with all things being as they are, within days of this hankering I popped by the blog of the lovely Jess and ta dah! She had the recipe waiting for me!

How kind of her don’t you think?

I highly recommend this recipe but wouldn’t make it if your resistance to jam drops is low.

You won’t stop at just one!
