dreaming of a farm
Many of you will see this little guy and think to yourselves…
‘Oh a baby alpaca! How cute!’
Around here we know better. After our trip to the Mudgee Small Farm Field Days on the weekend we now know these little creatures as ‘oll-paca’s’. Turns out, according to The Little Bush Princess we’ve been pronouncing their name incorrectly for years. Also turns out she needs one desperately!

I myself was pretty partial to the little hairy donkeys and

the frizzy fowl.

Naaw…and the spotty little lamb!

The Golden Child wants some mighty legs to ride around on…he was also rather taken with the rest of the horse that went along with these powerful legs.

The straw bale house demonstration was inspiring and has us once again chatting about our ‘one day farm’.

There were so many great things to see and do. I’m so glad we went. I’m pretty confident we’ll go back again next year.I’m still feeling better every day. I’m still not all that great at bending in the middle. You have no idea how much you take that for granted until you can’t do it!
I’ve been doing bits and pieces of sewing but nothing that I can show just yet.
Oh and if you like a link my friend Freya Blackwood has just launched her new website. You should pop over and have a squizz. You won’t be disappointed. So much lovely children’s illustration eye candy to be had!
