dolls

You have seen this little lady before. I posted about her here. Now she has a little mish mash random quilt to go with her frock.

Her sister has a quilt as well. Made from some fantastic vintage fabric that my lovely friend Kate gave me.

These girls have joined Harper for her journey over the seas.

They’re going here to be a part of a grand opening.

Why do I feel like the bridesmaid instead of the bride?

I really like the way she’s turned out.

She’s a pretty little thing with a cozy quilt to snuggle under.

These dolls are getting a bit addictive!

I have been busy lately. Sewing like there was no tomorrow in fact. I sort of got a bit behind on a deadline I had set myself and spent large swags of the long weekend playing catch up.

Today was spent finishing off, photographing and packing goodies up to ship to the other side of the world.  In the midst of my packing I noticed I was missing a few little dolls. It didn’t take me long to find them. I wasn’t the only one conducting a ’sewn goods photo shoot’ in our house today.

The Little Bush Princess might just be a blogger in the making!

I think that she’s a bit more stylish than my good self though. I was in jeans and a t-shirt. She was resplendent in a lady bug princess gown complete with wings. She even had set up props!

I wish I was four!

do snails take drugs?

crazy snail

I only ask about drug taking snails because the evidence at hand suggests that the one footed chap that made this trail was mightily confused!

We have a four day long weekend to embark on now. I’ll see you on the other side.

Have a great weekend.

If you have ever flicked through my blog roll or read this post you will know that I am a bit of a closet fan of the fabulous doll artist Mimi Kirchner and her very inspiring blog, Doll.

So you will understand how excited I was to find out that she had so very generously made on of her doll patterns available through purl bee.

I would love to snavel a picture from one of the sites to show you…but I think that might be a tiny bit rude and or presumptuous so pop on over and have a look.

I’m so excited!!!

edit…

I woke this morning to a comment from Mimi to say that I could have a little borrow of one of her beautiful images….so here is her lovely doll.

Now you know why I’m so excited!

She’s soooo beautiful!
